A hand-crank cash register with a wood-grain-look surface. A narrow indicator plate sits on top with a roller number window below, a crank on the right side and a large round reel on the left. The front carries five rows of round enamel keys, with a metal-framed slot lower down and a wooden plinth beneath. The surface finish is widely worn with the substrate showing through in places; the keys are yellowed with cracked enamel and the lettering is rubbed off on some of them.
