A round pocket watch with a gold-toned hinged cover; when opened, the inner face of the cover shows a fine engine-turned pattern. The white dial carries black numerals with a minute scale around the edge and a small hand-painted floral spray below the twelve; the hour, minute and slim seconds hands are in place. The bow is decorated in relief and a metal chain is attached. There is light staining and yellowing on the dial, with scratches and loss of shine on the cover and case.
